STARS 2025 will cover:

• A close look at the role of drug eluting technologies in endovascular lower limb techniques
• Vessel preparation updates and evolution
• Extreme lower limb revascularisation techniques and management of no-option CLTI patients
• Management of surgical and foot wounds following lower limb revascularisation
• Overview of the current status of PAD research and emerging data
• Optimal imaging modalities during lower limb endovascular procedures
• "My worst nightmare case" session - Even the masters still have nightmares!

STARS 2024 took place on 05 & 06 July at Etc Venues County Hall. This years event was the 10 year anniversary of STARS which meant the event took place over 2 days instead of the usual 1 and had a special celebration reception at the end of the first day.
As usual we had some amazing talks and the event offered a unique opportunity to engage with a selected national and international faculty to discuss and debate critical issues in vascular and endovascular surgery.

ABOUT STARS
STARS offers a unique opportunity to engage with a selected national and international faculty discussing and debating critical issues in vascular and endovascular surgery.
STARS will continue to be an informal and interactive forum to exchange expertise and knowledge between attendees and key opinion leaders. Taking place in the newly renovated County Hall in central London, STARS also offers an excellent opportunity for networking and exposure to the newest technologies and recent developments in the field of complex vascular interventions.

Prof. Hany Zayed

Professor Hany Zayed qualifed in 1994. He completed a master degree in science (MSc) in 1999 and went on to complete a medical doctorate degree in surgery (MD) in 2004.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2009. Mr Zayed was appointed as a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2008. He has a specialist interest in complex open and endovascular techniques to treat peripheral arterial disease and he helped to develop and expand a specialist lower limb/ diabetic foot network covering south east London.
Dr Tarun Sabharwal

Tarun Sabharwal is a consultant interventional radiologist at Guy's and St Thomas'.
Tarun perform vascular and nonvascular interventions, particularly vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty; oesophageal/duodenal/biliary and colonic stenting; vascular angioplasty and stenting; embolisation for varicoceles/fibroids/prostate artery and bleeding; venous access (portacaths, hickman lines) and biopsies. He holds a number of postions on committees including Standards of practice CIRSE and SIR, Scientific Program BSIR and ECR, Membership BSIR, Advisory Board ESIR, NCEOP, and Emergency framework NHS London.
